Today I tried laying out the 3" squares I have for an I SPY. Fun. I can see how a big design-wall would be helpful, but I don't sew enough to justify taking up an entire wall ;-)
It was fun seeing the whole thing laid out like that, and it's going to be even better when I get the rest of the squares done! I can't wait to get it done, and start playing I SPY with the kids.
Viola looked at me in disbelief and said: "Oh but mom! We can't sew that much!"
Sweet :-)
....and look at my purple little one in her new skirt....

that is going to be one fantastic I SPY quilt. I love how it goes from dark to light from the outside in.
Oh Tine, that's worked really well - the light and shade is so lovely. I can just imagine you all snuggled under the quilt-to-be gleefully pointing out "There!" Have fun sewing it up! (p.s. I too would LOVE a design wall - one day!)
I love the way you arranged the colors, kind of like a watercolor quilt. This is going to look great!
So cool! I love how your values go from light to dark. Very from to look at up close as it is far away.
Wow! It looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing. I really like your blog and all of your wonderful creations.
Hi Tine! You've been tagged. Check out my blog for details...
That quilt looks like so much fun, can't wait to see it finished.
What a great quilt! I hadn't heard of "I Spy" quilts before; it must have been a lot of fun to find all the fabrics. Do you need any more? I would love to send you some darling green frogs, some black cats, some guitars and other musical instruments, and Sponge Bob Square Pants. (Is Sponge Bob in TV in Denmark?)
I love Viola's new skirt! Are you making a matching one for yourself?
I love I spy quilts; hope to make one of my own at some point. This one looks great!
GOOD JOB!
