Quilttop finished

This afternoon I did some sewing - and I managed to finish the quilttop for the quilt I want to make for my parents for Christmas

The prints are "Morris Workshop" and the dark brown is a Kona Cotton.
I am not sure what to use for backing, I'll have to think about that. Any suggestions??

Maybe just some more Kona? Maybe in a medium blue shade or beige??

Your parents will love their quilt! I am sure you will find the perfect backing.

I just love it!! The black sashing gives it a stained glass effect, and your fabrics are stunning. For the back - well whatever is on sale, since the back takes so much. I hope we get to see how you decide to quilt it. I'm glad your sewing mojo is back! :>}

I love the way it looks like it's woven. I have no idea about the backing, but you will find something quite appropriate!

I would use a dark brown for the backing since the front is such rich colors - the dark backing would add to the coziness. You could then quilt with a light colored thread to add interest and texture to that backing. Just my opinion. I love the pattern - what's it called. I can't figure it out but I love it.
