Drawstring-mini-bag

My daugther is going to a birthday-party tomorrow. All the parents have agreed on a pricelimit for the presents our children bring, so when we went to the toystore, Viola had to leave the LEGO-castles, racetracks and bikes behind, and ended up choosing some glass-marbles.

We decided to sew a nice little bag for them. Viola chose the fabrics.

She was not too happy that I had to cut the fabrics, but the rotary-cutter is not for 3-year-olds....

She was in charge of pins, and very proud of it!

It was a really easy project, and the bag was done fast enough that she wasn't bored. She did have several jobs to keep her busy along the way..... such as (dis)organizing my scraps and buttons :-)

Drawstrings from red bias, in goes the glass-marbles, and it's done!

Viola was so happy, and very proud. She can't wait to give the present she made!

I just discovered your blog through Lisa Boyer. Very cute! I like your fabrics that your daughter picked out for the marble bag. Good for a little boy! What does the title 'sodeste"of your blog mean?

What a great mom you are! You have taught your daughter the joy of giving - a rare thing for a three year old.

Thank you so much! My blog-name means "sweetest", my sweetheart named it for me. Well, he named my Flickr-account, when he set it up for me a couple of years ago.
