I love wearing dresses. Especially in summer. I haven't had much luck sewing my own - but surely, that must be possible?!
This afternoon, I bought a burda style magazine, and I took a coffee break and read it. There are so many cute dresses and skirts in this one.
Just look at this dress on the cover. I have to give it a try! If you have a favorite dress to sew, please share :)

I used to make most of my clothes when I was in college, that's the only way I could afford anything "dressy". I've haven't made clothing since my daughter was born. Like anything else it takes practice. Start with a simple wrap skirt. That would be a great way to get a start on that type of sewing. Just remember, clothing uses larger seam allowances.
