I convinced Charles NOT to read my blog until after Christmas....so now I can show you the blogs I've made for his Christmas-preset-quilt. I had made 2 and was not at all sure about them, but Charles absolutely loved them -and keeps asking me to sew some more... Little does he know ;-)
I also worked a bit on the hexagons...
It's going to take me forever! Good thing I'm only making a pillowcase!!
Today, I went to the fabricstore to see if I could find some fabric to use for the strawberry-swap.... I'm not sure if I can show you the strawberry-goodies. But this what I bought for me....just because.....
Good thing I'm off the fabric-diet, and can buy stuff again!

I do like the scrappy quilt blocks. Would love to see more of those as they develop.
Your scrappy blocks look great - Charles is really in for a treat this Christmas (if you can keep it secret for that long ;-))
Thank you SO much for that super cute owl tutorial! I absolutely LOVE it! That was so thoughtful of you to pass it on. I am definitely going to try it out! And I am currently working on a quilt too so I will keep checking in on the progress of your projects cuz it will keep me on track with mine ;)
Ooh - I do love your new fabric. I expanded the picture so I could get a closer look. Do you have specific plans for them? Your hexagons are coming out great, and when I finish what I'm doing now I am going to try that. Thanks for the inspiration! Lucky Charles - but how will you ever keep it a secret?
Wow, you are brave to attempt hexagons...I'm too chicken! But they are coming along very nicely.
lucky charles!! i adore those blocks!! i would say show peekies of your strawberry bits!! nice fabric yummies, and i am glad you are off your fabric diet!!
Your fabrics look beautiful, you cant stay on a fabric diet for too long. I am the same with patterned paper. Charles will love the gift.
Fabric diets are soooooo hard to stick to aren't they? Yummy choices of colour you have there! Love the new running shoes too. :)
Those are wonderful quilt blocks! You asked about the thread I used on my butterfly quilt on the Quilt Studio blog (way back in May! Sorry I haven't been keeping up with blogging recently.) It's YLI Jeans Stitch, great for hand and machine work.
I just love that hexagon pillowcase, it is going to be beautiful!
Charles is going to be so excited when he gets his quilt : )
