YAY!

I recently won John's giveaway on Quiltdad. And I won my favourite of the four bags he was giving away! It is beautiful, thank you so much John! I love my new bag :-)

And look at all the goodies he sent! Candy, 2 CDs of the best music -he named them "music to quilt to"- and this stunning quilted postcard
As I'm sure you can imagine, there was a lot of uuuhs and ooohs and aaahhhs as I was unpacking all of these treasures!

Charles' favourite is the swedish fish candies...he is half Swedish :-)
Thank you John, I love it all. So many goodies!

Viola and I went to IKEA today, we have a sofa that desperately needs a back-up cover. I opted for the cheapest one, an all-white cotton! Maybe not the best choice with 2 little ones....but oh well!
What is worse is, I don't like my sofa being white!! Its usual cover is red, and this is quite a dramatic change... I'm thinking dye.... Purple?!

I am SO HAPPY that you received the package and that you like everything! I should be sure to clarify -- I did NOT make that cute little owl postcard. I bought it from an Etsy seller. I don't want to take credit for something that someone else made! : )

Perhaps you could make some nice cushions for it? Or a quilt? I like the sofa!

It looks nice and crisp and summery. But I agree with Mirre - some cushions or a quilt might be just the thing. And with white as your background you can choose any colurs you want!

I meant colours, of course!

Dyeing might be just the thing if you can't live with the white.

Love all the goodies you received! Your white sofa looks fresh and would like nice with some cushions and a quilt draped over it! You can always dye it later when it isn't so pristine.

I agree that the white looks great for now, you can always dye it later when it loses its new glow. Maybe you and Viola can make some colorful cushions for it out of your I Spy scraps.

I love the owl postcard. I need to learn to do that!

Wow! You were lucky to receive such a package with all those goodies and beauties! I solved sofa problem at home with buying a bedcover (quilted, of course) and piecing it in two seat covers for my two sofas - eventhough the sofas are not white. I added some cushions with similar colours and voila - it is good now.The seat covers are loose so I can change them whenever I want. At IKEA you can find also nice large cushion covers. I bought some white and green to our guest room.

Nice prize and I like the white sofa even though it probably won't stay white for very long.
