An award and some Christmas-projects

Suddenly there is not that long until Dec. 1st!! And I need to have 2 advent-calendar bags finished before then! So I have made some progress on Violas. I'm using Welcome to the North Pole by Piece O'Cake Design as my pattern.
My moon is a little pointy, I'm not that good at appliqueing circles -yet! I still have some work to do on this little house, but it is really fun to sew. I am so happy I finally got the courage to start something from this pattern! FUN FUN!

I have also been working on Violas birthday (or Christmas?) present. I saw this Lilypad Toss game on Mama Urchins blog, and I think it will be perfect for her. I made the frogs from a pattern in the book in the picture.. I have made 2 more, but they didn't make in into the picture....lost somewhere on my sewing-table!
Anyway...I'm going to sew the lily pads and a little bag to keep it all in. That's the plan right now, let's see how well I do. LOL!
First things first, I need to give these little frogs some eyes.

Karen has given me the Blogging Friends Forever award! Thank you so much!
Karen is a very talented quilter, you should go see her Christmas-quilt, I love it :-)
the Blogging Friends Forever is supposed to be passed on to 5 new blogs, but how can I choose only 5?? It is not possible for me, I have so many great blogging friends!

Now I am going to head into town (in the rain I might add!) to pick up my books for my next class.
I don't like rain :-(

Tine, I actually had the welcome to the north pole book.
I sold it on ebay because the applique was too tiny for my hands.
I can tell you what to do about the moon though I think it looks cute.

rain - yuk. We have sunshine today (but it's so cold too)

I love your pointy moon, and the advent calendar will look beautiful when it's finished - I can't wait to see it.

I made some frogs to use as doorstops for my kids' bedrooms - although they tend to get thrown about more than they sit and hold the doors open. Maybe I should make some lilypads for them too.....

I like all the embellishments - the beads look like Christmas lights along the edge of the roof. The button doorknob is great, too, and the button flowers in the flower box. Good luck with all that reading! (I can't believe you were just now going out for those books!)
