Happy me!

Today I got a package from Diana Martin in the mail...

She sent me so many beautiful pieces of fabric, Viola's favourites are SpongeBob and a blue print with stars and silver glitter, the candycanes, the cherries...... You get the idea :-)
I love the birds! The blue fabric on the bottom, it's so beautiful! I wonder if I'll be able to cut into that?!

Diana also sent this fun project:

This is going to be so great, Viola and I will get started on that asap!
Thank you so very much, Diana! I am completely overwhelmed! Now it's on to cutting, and then sewing! Exciting!

My mail-man also brought me this fabulous pattern I found on etsy

I looooove that red dress! I want that to be my wedding-dress! Only...in white and a little longer.

But today I had to sew a balaclavae for Viola. Can't let those little ears get cold...

Here's the pattern, if you have little ones prone to ear-infections...

Hopefully, I'll get all the cutting done soon, it's such a pleasure when working with such beautiful fabrics!
And then, it'll be on to sewing!!!

I'm so glad you and Viola like the fabric! It was fun for me to go through my stash to find things you would be able to use. Cute Balaclava for your little pink and purple girl!

What a great mail day! Love the balaclavae for Viola. Her ears are sure to be warm.

So much to feel jolly about in this post! I love the fabrics - we have that musical instrument fabric, I made a piano lesson bag with it for Little A. And that pattern - I'm with Tonya, wish my waist was that small! You must post the dress you make with it! And what a lucky little girl you have - her mummy is so attentive! :-)

Hi there

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! Of course I wanted to come visit you too, and you have so much fun stuff here! I wanted to say how fun it is to see a balaclava - no one here in the US calls them that, but growing up in New Zealand, that's what we called them! I even went to a primary school called Balaclava school!

I will be back to visit again for sure !

I love this. I tried to make one for myself this winter (without a pattern) and it came out looking silly. I'll definitely bookmark this pattern. It took me so long to learn the name--I kept googling "helmet hat" without much luck.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! You're my first "stranger" to write.
