I SPY quilttop done!

Look what I did today!
I really should have done some laundry, but Ask slept most of the day, and since we don't have a washing machine in the apartment, that was really not an option... Lucky me! So I sewed :-) And I'm really happy with how it is turning out.

I have a few different ideas for what borders -if any- I want. Hmm....how to decide?!

What would you do?

It looks great - you must be so pleased to have all those teeny tiny squares together.

Great quilt Tine. I love how you graded the colour.

Wow! Your paper must be finished if you had time to do all this sewing. It's beautiful. It doesn't really need a border, do you think? Just a binding, probably something dark to go with the outer squares.

What a wonderful comment Charles left!

I'd say a solid border or some binding. That quilt is just lovely!

This is beautiful, what a patient person you are to complete it. Glad you got to do this instead of the laundry.

I think it looks fab as it is - just binding is my vote!

it looks so fabulous! what size are the squares?

I'd vote for no borders...I think.

Thanks a lot for the lovely comments! I'm going to go for no borders. -I think! LOL!
The squares are 3", while cutting I promised myself NEVER to do anything needing that many squares that small, and now I'm thinking it wasn't all that bad. I guess there is something to be said for having a really bad memory!

Oh...and no, not the whole thing in a day. I had all the squares cut, and 4 rows already put together :-)

Wonderful! I think I have an eye spy in my future - I've been collecting fabric for it for some time. Thanks for the inspiration - I think I should get started.

Tine, you are funny! My mom calls that kind of memory "selective amnesia". I can't wait to see what you do for the back of the quilt.

The quilt looks like so much fun. Congrats on tackling such a big job.

That's a great quilt! I agree with you, no border just binding, because with your layout the darker fabrics already work as a border.
